Activate Your RocketSim for Teams Seat
Activate RocketSim Pro with your team license: one-click activation from the Teams dashboard, manual activation with a license key, and how to move your seat to a new Mac.
Installing RocketSim from the Mac App Store doesn’t unlock RocketSim Pro on its own. To use your team’s license, you activate a seat on your Mac. It takes about a minute, and you can do it again whenever you get a new Mac.
Activate with one click
Section titled “Activate with one click”- Install RocketSim from the Mac App Store.
- Sign in to the Teams dashboard through the activation link. After you sign in, it takes you straight to the Activate your seat page.
- Click Activate your seat. Your browser asks to open RocketSim, which then shows Activate your RocketSim Pro License.
- Click Activate license. RocketSim confirms with License activated, enjoy RocketSim Pro!
Developers who sign in without an active seat are sent to this page automatically. Team managers aren’t, so managers should use the link above.
Activate manually with your license key
Section titled “Activate manually with your license key”If RocketSim doesn’t open from the browser, or you’re on a different device than your Mac, activate with your license key instead.
- Copy your License key from Settings → Subscription in the Teams dashboard.
- In RocketSim, click RocketSim Pro… in the menu bar.
- Right-click the Restore Purchase button and choose Enter Team License.
- Fill in the License Key and the Email you use for RocketSim for Teams, then click Activate.
Find the activation page later
Section titled “Find the activation page later”The Teams dashboard doesn’t show Activate seat in its top navigation. You can find it here instead:
- The Activate seat link in the footer of every dashboard page.
- The RocketSim Seat banner at the top of Settings, with a See how link. Developers see this banner as long as they have no seat activated. Managers don’t.
Move your seat to a new Mac
Section titled “Move your seat to a new Mac”Every activated Mac uses one seat. If you activate a second Mac without freeing the first, the activation page warns you that it takes up another seat. When you replace a Mac, unlink the old one first:
- Sign in to the Teams dashboard and open Settings → Users.
- Find your name. Under Devices connected to a seat, click Unlink device next to the old Mac and confirm with Continue.
- Activate the new Mac using the steps above.
Only team managers can unlink devices. If you’re a developer, ask your team manager to unlink your old Mac. Once unlinked, that Mac can no longer use RocketSim Pro.
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting””No seats available”
Section titled “”No seats available””All seats are in use, so Activate your seat is disabled.
- Team managers can click Buy more seats, or unlink a Mac that’s no longer in use. See Renew or Manage Your Team Subscription.
- Developers should ask their team manager to buy more seats or free one.
RocketSim doesn’t open when I click “Activate your seat”
Section titled “RocketSim doesn’t open when I click “Activate your seat””Wait a few seconds. The page then shows manual steps. Follow Activate manually with your license key. Make sure RocketSim is installed and up to date.
”No active license”
Section titled “”No active license””Your account isn’t connected to an active team license. Ask your team manager to invite you from Settings → Users, or check that the subscription hasn’t expired. If the subscription lapsed, the manager can renew it as described in Renew or Manage Your Team Subscription.
I haven’t received an invite
Section titled “I haven’t received an invite”Ask your team manager to share the team’s join link from Settings → Users, or to invite you with Invite new user.
