What to Do When Your RocketSim Payment Is Due

Seeing a payment due message in RocketSim? Learn what it means, what to tell your team manager, and how managers pay an open invoice to keep RocketSim Pro active.

RocketSim for Teams is billed centrally, so everyone on the team sees the payment due message — even though only your team manager can pay. Nothing is wrong with your Mac, and there is nothing to fix on your side.

This page has two parts. The first is for developers who see the message. The second is for team managers who need to pay.

Seeing a payment due message in RocketSim?

Section titled “Seeing a payment due message in RocketSim?”

Your team’s RocketSim invoice hasn’t been paid yet. You can’t pay it yourself, and you don’t need to. The best thing you can do is let your team manager know.

Here’s what you can expect:

  • RocketSim keeps working while the message shows. It tells you how many days are left.
  • Nothing is lost. Your settings, your license key, and your team’s data stay in place.
  • You don’t need to do anything after the payment. Once your manager has paid, the message goes away on its own.

Not sure who your team manager is? Ask whoever invited you to RocketSim, or whoever handles tooling and licenses for your team.

Subject: RocketSim payment is due
Hi,
RocketSim is showing a "payment due" message. It means our team's RocketSim for
Teams invoice hasn't been paid yet.
RocketSim still works for now, but if the invoice stays unpaid, RocketSim Pro
will be switched off for the whole team after the date shown in the app.
Could you (or whoever handles billing) pay the open invoice? The steps are here:
https://rocketsim.app/docs/support/what-to-do-when-your-payment-is-due/
Thanks!

RocketSim counts from the moment the payment first became due. These are the three states you can see.

The invoice has been unpaid for 7 days or more. RocketSim keeps working and shows how many days remain before it’s switched off.

The deactivation date is close. RocketSim shows the date the license will be deactivated. That date is 30 days after the payment first became due.

The payment wasn’t received within 30 days, so RocketSim Pro is switched off for the team. This is not a cancellation:

  • Your subscription is not canceled.
  • Nothing is deleted.
  • Your license key stays in place.
  • Paying restores access.

Developers don’t need to enter the license key again or activate their seat again. RocketSim picks up the new payment status the next time it checks your license, and the message disappears. A bank transfer can take longer to arrive than a card payment, so the message may stay a little longer in that case.

Pay the invoice as soon as you can to keep RocketSim Pro active for your team.

  1. Sign in at teams.rocketsim.app with your team manager account.
  2. Look for the banner at the top of any Settings page.

What the banner says depends on how your team pays:

  • Invoice overdue — your latest invoice is past its due date. Click View invoice to open it. If there’s no invoice link, click View billing details instead and open the invoice from your invoice history.
  • Payment failed — we couldn’t charge your card. Click Update payment method, as described in Fix a failed payment.

The dashboard can show these banners before RocketSim shows its own message, because RocketSim only warns developers once the payment is 7 days overdue.

You can also open Settings → Subscription and click Manage subscription to see all your invoices in the billing portal. The team subscription guide explains what you can do there.

Open the invoice link from the dashboard banner or from the invoice email. You’ll land on a secure Stripe invoice page hosted by Stripe.

  1. Check the amount and the details on the invoice.
  2. Choose one of the payment methods shown on the page, such as a card. If bank transfer is available for your invoice, the bank details are shown there too.
  3. Complete the payment.

The payment methods you see depend on your invoice and your country, so the invoice page is the source of truth.

If your team pays by card, click Manage subscription on Settings → Subscription and update your payment method in the billing portal. After updating, check that the open invoice is paid. If it’s still open, open it from your invoice history and pay it there, or email support@rocketsim.app and we’ll help.

Download invoices and receipts for accounting

Section titled “Download invoices and receipts for accounting”
  • In the billing portal, open Manage subscription and use the invoice history to view and download invoices.
  • On the Stripe invoice page, you can download the invoice, and the receipt once it’s paid.

Stripe emails the invoice to the email address on your subscription. If you can’t find it:

  1. Check your spam or junk folder.
  2. Check the inbox of the account email you use for the Teams dashboard. The invoice may have gone to a different address than you expect.
  3. Ask a colleague in finance or procurement who may receive invoices.
  4. Still nothing? Open Settings → Subscription → Manage subscription and look in your invoice history, or email support@rocketsim.app.

Need a PO number, a new invoice, or a different billing address?

Section titled “Need a PO number, a new invoice, or a different billing address?”

Email support@rocketsim.app with your team’s email address and what you need, such as:

  • A purchase order (PO) number on the invoice
  • A corrected or reissued invoice
  • A different company name or billing address

If the banner or invoice looks different from what’s described here, or your team shows as deactivated, email support@rocketsim.app with your team’s email address and a short description of what you see. We’ll sort it out together.
